George Roby Dark Blue Mug
This handmade pottery piece was expertly studio crafted using the "Raku" firing technique by master potter, George Roby. This mug is glazed a stunning deep teal blue with a beautiful crackle texture throughout. There is a faint initial "GR" on the bottom of the piece (see photo for details).
Provenance: Acquired from the personal collection of George Roby - George Roby was a potter and sculptor with works featured in the collections of the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Everson Museum, Butler Institute of American Art, the Columbus Museum of Fine Art, and the Ohio Craft Museum.
