George Roby Dark Brown Lidded Bowl
This handmade pottery piece was expertly studio crafted using the "Raku" firing technique by master potter, George Roby. This bowl has a beautiful variated burnt, dark brown glaze and features a four-pronged lid. Signed "GR" on the bottom of the piece (see photos for details).
Provenance: Acquired from the personal collection of George Roby - George Roby was a potter and sculptor with works featured in the collections of the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Everson Museum, Butler Institute of American Art, the Columbus Museum of Fine Art, and the Ohio Craft Museum.
