This handmade pottery piece was expertly studio crafted using the "Raku" firing technique by master potter, George Roby. This piece features a beautifully glazed maroon to grey gradient that emphasizes the piece's minimalist form and is initialed "GR" on the bottom.
Provenance: Acquired from the personal collection of George Roby - George Roby was a potter and sculptor with works featured in the collections of the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Everson Museum, Butler Institute of American Art, the Columbus Museum of Fine Art, and the Ohio Craft Museum.
