George Roby Black Ceramic Mug
This handmade pottery piece was expertly studio crafted using the "Raku" firing technique by master potter, George Roby. This mug is glazed a complex black that lets speckles of the warm beige ceramic peek through, and is a beautiful minimalist ceramic piece.
Provenance: Acquired from the personal collection of George Roby - George Roby was a potter and sculptor with works featured in the collections of the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Everson Museum, Butler Institute of American Art, the Columbus Museum of Fine Art, and the Ohio Craft Museum.
