George Roby Dark Brown and Sheer Pale Glazed Bowl
This handmade pottery piece was expertly studio crafted using the "Raku" firing technique by master potter, George Roby. This bowl has been glazed a stunning deep dark brown and then with a sheer layer of pale white, creating a beautiful water-like texture across the inner surface of the piece.
Provenance: Acquired from the personal collection of George Roby - George Roby was a potter and sculptor with works featured in the collections of the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Everson Museum, Butler Institute of American Art, the Columbus Museum of Fine Art, and the Ohio Craft Museum.
