George Roby Green and Brown Bowl
This handmade pottery piece was expertly studio crafted using the "Raku" firing technique by master potter, George Roby. This beautifully glazed bowl is colored with a gradient of brown and grey on the outside and green on the inside. The piece also has black speckles, accenting the speckled texture of the bowl. Signed on the bottom, "GR" (see photos for details).
Provenance: Acquired from the personal collection of George Roby - George Roby was a potter and sculptor with works featured in the collections of the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Everson Museum, Butler Institute of American Art, the Columbus Museum of Fine Art, and the Ohio Craft Museum.
