George Roby Handcrafted Asymmetrical Gray Bowl
This handmade pottery piece was expertly studio crafted using the "Raku" firing technique by master potter, George Roby. In addition to its unique asymmetrical form, this bowl is beautifully glazed with a gradient of dark to light gray, with a pale pink interior glaze and accents of black spots. Initialed "GR" on the bottom of the piece (please see photos for details).
Provenance: Acquired from the personal collection of George Roby - George Roby was a potter and sculptor with works featured in the collections of the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Everson Museum, Butler Institute of American Art, the Columbus Museum of Fine Art, and the Ohio Craft Museum.
