George Roby Handmade Charcoal Grey and Burnt Beige Bowl
This handmade pottery piece was expertly studio crafted using the "Raku" firing technique by master potter, George Roby. This hand turned bowl has soft ridges and features a warm charcoal grey and burnt beige glaze that gives rise to a beautiful texture to the piece. Initialed "GR" on the bottom of the piece.
Provenance: Acquired from the personal collection of George Roby - George Roby was a potter and sculptor with works featured in the collections of the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Everson Museum, Butler Institute of American Art, the Columbus Museum of Fine Art, and the Ohio Craft Museum.
